The Living Church

What comes to mind when you hear the word “church”?

Maybe a building, a service, an event…

If we think of church only as some songs, friends, and a message we will eventually get disillusioned because some days the songs won’t “move you” and the preacher won’t be as great as someone you can find online and maybe not all of your needs will be met on one Sunday or cell group.

But what really is the Church? The church is US. And the church is alive. The church is God’s chosen instrument to advance the Gospel.

In the death and resurrection of Christ there has been a shift - God now lives IN HIS PEOPLE. He doesn’t “live in temples built by human hands”.

This means that we carry the Spirit of God, God himself, wherever we go. We are the Church. We are “living stones” being built into a “spiritual house”. And this is all part of God’s master plan.
